Simply press the tape into the corner, overlapping the corner seams and smooth down to adhere. After preparing your window trim for paint, paint your trim with primer first and then your trim paint.

How to tape windows for painting. Using tempera paint is the way to go. Some parts of a painting project seem easier than others. Use these same basic steps to tape around windows.

To tape off a room for painting, start by wiping down the areas you want to tape with a damp cloth to ensure the tape will stick to the surface. Then tape the bottom left corner, cut the excess on bottom and fold excess on right then seal up.

If you do have a little paint seeping under the tape, you can scrape it off with a razor, but it will take like three seconds to clean up a couple of spots versus an hour of scraping off tons.
How does the paint come off the windows? Just take a craft knife and score the tape, peeling it up starting in the first corner you taped, then pull it all off.
